Red Cavaney Addresses Forum Club of the Palm Beaches

On Monday, May 19, 2008, API President and CEO Red Cavaney gave the keynote address at the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches luncheon event with more than 450 attendees from Palm Beach County and the surrounding areas. The audience included more than 10 local elected officials, students from the International Baccalaureate program at Atlantic High School in Del Ray, members of the media, local business leaders and community members. API’s Interactive Technology Exhibit accompanied Mr. Cavaney at the luncheon.

Access to these resources supports more than 9.2 million jobs nationwide, provides billions in government revenues and creates less reliance on foreign imports. Public policy supporting the jobs and energy sources provided by the oil and natural gas industry is essential to protecting our nation’s future energy security.  

Oil Spill Prevention and Response

The oil and natural gas industry has pledged to work day and night to aid in recovery efforts for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and to ensure lasting solutions are put into place.
