API’s latest ad on the Keystone XL underscores the project’s support across the political spectrum – from Clinton I to Bush 43:
The Keystone XL is the one project that brings together Democrats and Republicans, business and organized labor. Why? Jobs. The project could create tens of thousands of U.S. jobs during construction, generating positive impact throughout the economy. Cindy Schild, API’s senior manager for oil sands and refining issues:
The American public is well aware of the immense benefits of building Keystone XL; time and time again polls show strong public support for building this project: tens of thousands of jobs, true economic growth, and great strides towards North American energy security.
Americans get it on the Keystone XL – 82 percent in a recent poll say building the pipeline is in the U.S. national interest. Just 13 percent disagree. The Keystone XL isn’t a close call. The president should listen to the 82 percent, put people to work and make America more energy secure.
