There’s a new website to help your voice be heard on something very personal to virtually every American: the health and well-being of their personal vehicle – many of them threatened by E15 gasoline that EPA approved to meet arbitrary ethanol mandates under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
We’ve discussed the risks posed to vehicular and other engines from using E15 (a blend of up to 15 percent ethanol) with regularity, most recently here and here – based on scientific research showing potentially damaging effects when E15 is used in vehicles that weren’t designed to run on it, as well as other kinds of engines. The RFS is broken and should be repealed. Now you can do something about it.
Go to http://backyard.filluponfacts.com/ and virtually bring your broken engine to Washington’s backyard -- to get the message across that E15 should not be foisted on consumers without adequate testing. Make your voice heard!
