As a district manager for Speedway, a division of Marathon Oil, Katie is responsible for eight stores in the Dayton, Ohio, area. The typical store sells about 200,000 gallons of gasoline a month, she says. Customer service is the heart of the business:

“I love the fact that I get to work in the place where I grew up. Not only are my customers my friends, my relatives but they’re my next-door neighbors.”
