Jobs. Energy jobs. Energy jobs that are working for America.

Those are the themes you’ll see on a brand-new website – American Energy – which highlights the people of the oil and natural gas industry. Their jobs, their stories, their communities.

Our industry supports 9.2 million jobs. Here are some of them – the faces, the voices, people telling the story of an industry that’s a major engine of economic growth and individual prosperity – and which is ready to do more.

Check the videos. Listen to real folks talk about what they do. See listings for actual jobs that are hiring. We’re an industry that’s creating opportunity and could do more – 1.4 million jobs by 2030 with the right policies, the right approach to American energy development.

It’s an industry that contributed $476 billion to the U.S. economy in 2010, whose member companies are leading investment inside the United States – claiming five of the top 11 spots on the Progressive Policy Institute’s recent list of the top 25 nonfinancial U.S.-based companies, ranked by their 2011 U.S. capital spending.

Who’s betting on America? We are, with well-paying jobs and opportunities for promising careers in an industry that can help lead an economic recovery while providing the energy our country needs, now and in the future. Meet some of the people that are making this happen.
