The role of careful planning in building community confidence and support certainly is worth repeating. WPX Energy’s Dave Freudenrich:
“When we first site a (drilling) pad, we will go to the landowner with a concept plan, basically, that shows the location of the pad relative to their property, their homes, their fields, their barns, and we get their buy-in before we start construction. That’s a must. … They’re a partner.”
Planning means economy of investment, minimal disruption and effective energy development. It’s the foundation for performance excellence that fosters community engagement and embrace.
